This Privacy Policy explains how DriveZen ("we", "us", "our") handles your information when you use the DriveZen mobile app.

Quick summary

DriveZen uses your location only to generate nearby driving destinations and routes you request.
DriveZen does not require an account and does not sell your data.
We do not run ads or analytics SDKs in v1.

1. Information we collect

Location (when you allow it)

If you grant location permission, DriveZen can access your approximate or precise location while the app is in use. We use this to generate random nearby destinations and to display routes within the app.

Trip history stored on your device

DriveZen may save recent generated destinations (and favourites) locally on your device to improve your experience. This information is stored using on-device app storage.

Information we do not collect

We do not require accounts or passwords.
We do not collect names, phone numbers, or contact lists.
We do not collect payment details in v1.
We do not run advertising or analytics SDKs in v1.

2. How we use information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

Generate random nearby destinations based on your chosen radius.
Request and display driving routes inside the app.
Show your current position on the map (while the app is in use).
Save and display your recent trips and favourites (on-device).
Diagnose app issues if you contact us directly (only what you choose to share).

3. Third-party services

OpenStreetMap tiles

The app loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap tile servers. When tiles are loaded, your device may send standard network information (such as IP address) to the tile provider as part of delivering map imagery.

OSRM routing

DriveZen requests routes using an OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine) endpoint. To generate a route, the app sends the start and destination coordinates to the routing endpoint. This is required to compute the route line.

Note: In future versions, DriveZen may switch routing or map providers. This policy will be updated accordingly.

4. Data storage & retention

Trip history and favourites are stored locally on your device.
We do not store your location history on our servers.
You can remove stored trip data by uninstalling the app (or clearing app storage in your device settings).

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your trip history or location data with third parties except as necessary to provide core app functionality (e.g., loading maps and requesting routes).

If you use the “Share destination” feature, the destination information is shared only through the method you choose (e.g., WhatsApp, Messages). We do not control how third-party apps handle shared content.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app. Network requests are sent over HTTPS where supported. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Children’s privacy

DriveZen is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

8. Your choices & rights

You can enable or disable location permissions in your device settings.
You can clear stored trip history by clearing app data (Android) or uninstalling the app (iOS/Android).

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
